Terms of service

SourceDoc service terms, automatic monthly and annual billing, subscription changes, connected storage, and source verification.

Effective September 8, 2026

The service and your workspace

SourceDoc is a document retrieval service provided by Triton Software. These terms describe use of the website, app, connectors, and subscriptions. A separately signed agreement may add or replace terms for your firm. Contact chris@tritonsoftware.com with service or billing questions.

Use SourceDoc only for records you are authorized to access and process. The person creating or managing a firm workspace must be authorized to act for that firm. Provide accurate account and billing information, protect your sign-in and personal API keys, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Firm owners and administrators manage users, access scopes, connectors, and billing.

Your documents and connected services

Your firm retains its rights in its documents. You authorize SourceDoc to access and process the selected archive to provide indexing, OCR, search, document review, summaries, and related service operations. This does not transfer ownership of your original files. Our privacy policy explains the information we process and your deletion choices.

Original files remain in your connected storage. Maintain that storage account, required permissions, and appropriate backups. Provider authorization can be subject to your organization's administrator policies. Microsoft 365 and Google Drive connections depend on their respective services and authorization requirements; SFTP uses assisted onboarding. Third-party services, including an AI client you connect, have their own terms.

Plans, automatic renewal, and discounts

Prices are in US dollars. The plan, billing interval, discount, and amount displayed at Stripe checkout govern the purchase you confirm. Monthly subscriptions charge automatically each month. Annual subscriptions charge the entire annual amount upfront and renew yearly. Any applicable tax is shown during payment processing. A displayed annual monthly equivalent is not a monthly installment plan.

You can manage your subscription, payment method, invoices, and cancellation through the secure customer portal. Upgrades, downgrades, or a change between monthly and annual billing may create prorated charges or credits; review the amounts and effective date shown before confirming. Cancel before renewal to stop the next renewal. The portal shows when your current subscription ends.

Promotion codes are subject to their stated eligibility, expiration, redemption limit, and discount duration. A one-time discount applies to the first eligible invoice. A discount lasting a number of months applies during that period; it does not turn an annual charge into monthly installments. When a temporary discount ends, subsequent invoices use the applicable undiscounted plan price unless you change or cancel the subscription. Contact us about a billing error or refund request; these terms do not limit any rights required by applicable law.

Included capacity and features are shown on the pricing page. Additional capacity and custom services are agreed before billing. Enterprise arrangements are separately quoted.

Use and verification of results

Search results, extracted metadata, OCR, and AI-generated summaries can be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important findings against the original record and supporting passages. SourceDoc is a retrieval and review tool, not legal advice or a replacement for your professional judgment, records-management obligations, or independent backups. Search speed varies with the archive, query, indexing status, and network.

Do not use SourceDoc to access another firm's records without authorization, evade permissions or usage controls, introduce malicious content, disrupt the service, or violate applicable law. Do not share a personal API key beyond the people and tools you authorize. Public demonstration access is limited to the demonstration features and approved archive.

Stopping a connection or leaving

You may disconnect a storage connector, revoke it with the storage provider, and request removal of indexed records. These actions are separate from canceling billing. Review the retention and deletion information and contact us if you need help removing a workspace. We may restrict access when necessary to address unauthorized use, security threats, or unpaid service, consistent with applicable law and any agreement with your firm.
